The works presented above were all recorded versions of texts by Greenham that were published in her collection Tune in to Reality! (1974). Both Do you wonder about this society? and Underground are unedited ‘rehearsal’ versions recorded by Greenham herself in 1969/70. Both were included, in a slightly re-edited form, on the B-side (Tendentious Neo-Semantics) of Greenham’s 1970 LP for Edition Hoffmann. Capital and Strike were both recorded in 1973 at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in London, with technical assistance and stereo sound effects by Paddy Kingsland. All four works presented here were re-digitised from Greenham’s original reel-to-reel tapes in the Electronic Music Studios at Goldsmiths, University of London in February 2024, where almost 50 years earlier Greenham had created Traffic with Hugh Davies.
